Detention of peaceful political demonstrators in El Obeid
Six political activists calling for a peaceful political demonstration in El Obeid Market, North Kordofan, against the war in Sudan were detained on 6 and 7July 2013:

Mansour Zakieldin Umma party
Dr. Gadim Umma Party
Khalid Dawood Ba'ath party
Hummeida Basheer Ba'ath party
Abdelbagi Dawaina Popular Congress party
SUDO (UK) considers that all those detained are being held solely for the peaceful expression of their opinions and for organizing a peaceful demonstration and should be immediately and unconditionally released.
