Assesment Report on IDPs who have fled their homes after the attack launched by SPLA-North against the Chinese company in Al-Abbasiya locality, South Kordofan on 28th of January 2012.
The following villages were completely deserted:
Villages surrounding Abassyia both west, south and North fled to the following area, East and North East of Abbassyia. No assistance of any kind has been offered.

Those IDPs are without protection and in dire need of assistance.
SUDO calls on both the SPLM-N and the Sudan Armed Forces to end attacks on civilians.
SUDO calls for a reconciliation process to be initiated immediately which should bring peace to the border areas. The Sudan Government must provide aid to those displaced and allow local and international aid organizations access to the IDPs. IDPs and refugees from South Kordofan to return home.
